Mozilla’s Blueprint For Making It To The Guinness World Record Book!
The Mozilla Blog reported that on July 9, 2008, The Mozilla team was awarded the official Guinness World Record certificate for the “largest number of software downloads in 24 hours.” Would you believe that something like this can actually happen? On the fateful evening of June 17, 2008, people started downloading Firefox 3 and did not stop till their numbers reached a whooping 8,002,530 within just 24 hours. This one-day miracle earned Mozilla a spot in the prestigious Guinness World Record Book as well as a certificate! This honor was received by Tristan Nitot, President of Mozilla Europe, in London.

The Mozilla team expressed the gratitude felt by the team, saying “It’s wonderful to finally have this official document - a great accomplishment for our community and one that we can all be proud. Thank you and Well Done!”
Firefox was launched in the year 2004, and since then has garnered the support of over 180 million users across more than 230 nations. Firefox has exhibited only exponential growth each day and sets a remarkable example for the e-commerce world in its entirety.
